When the team at Anglia Labels approached us, they had a clear goal: to create a more modern, functional workspace that would better support their growing team while making a positive impression on visitors.
Their existing office contained a mixture of ageing furniture, multiple finishes and styles, and a large number of filing cabinets that were taking up valuable space.
The management offices and main workspace no longer reflected the professional image of the business, and the layout was restricting both efficiency and collaboration.
The office before we started:
Understanding the Requirements
Our first step was to visit the site and discuss the team’s objectives. We explored different layout possibilities, furniture options, and colour schemes to identify the most effective solution.
To ensure every square metre was used efficiently, we created a detailed space plan. This allowed us to visualise the available options and design a workspace that would comfortably accommodate eight members of staff while maintaining clear walkways and an open, spacious feel.
Delivering a Tailored Solution
After assessing the available space, we recommended 1600mm x 800mm desks paired with desk-high storage units. This solution provided generous workspace, practical storage, and additional surface area without compromising accessibility throughout the office.
We also considered the specific needs of the accounts team, incorporating an additional return desk to accommodate specialist equipment while ensuring the layout remained organised and efficient.
To maximise the filing cabinet capacity we supplied 5 drawer cabinets, rather than 4 drawer, increasing the capacity by 25% but taking up the same floorspace.
For the separate offices, we installed new desks for the CAD department, carefully maintaining the workspace they required for technical projects. The management office was also upgraded with modern furniture to create a professional and comfortable environment.

To complete the refurbishment, we carried out a range of additional improvements, including:
- Repainting the office walls
- Installing replacement doors
- Installing new carpet tiles throughout
- Replacing damaged ceiling tiles
- Removing an outdated Aircon unit
- Creating a brighter, cleaner, and more welcoming environment
Minimal Disruption
Dismantling and removal/disposal of the existing furniture and installation of the new furniture was carried out over a weekend, ensuring the office could function smoothly throughout the transformation.
