John Herbert - Managing Director
John is our Managing Director and is our resident office furniture expert. He lives in Colchester and is married with 2 daughters, Claire and Jess. He has two grandchildren, Leoni & Junior and George, a cockerpoo, who all keep John feeling young!
He has over 40 years of experience in all aspects of office furniture, including space planning, office refurbishments, bespoke solutions, etc.
When on holiday, John loves to go travelling on cruise ships.
He regularly visits many parts of the country to survey office space and discuss customer requirements- if you would like to have a meeting or just a chat about any furniture needs, John’s your man and he loves a challenge.
Current & recent jobs include furniture installations in Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Macclesfield, Scarborough, Plymouth & The City. Can’t understand why he says that local jobs are always very welcome!

Having a team that go the extra distance to provide excellent customer service
Claire Lovell - Director
Claire is John’s co-director here at Gosh. Claire has a passion for stationery (however strange that sounds) which was all started by her Dad having a shop in Colchester High Street where she would spend Saturday’s ‘testing’ all the lovely pens. Claire loves bright coloured offices and chairs, pens and has a real love of brightly coloured post-it notes.
Claire has a knack for identifying and sourcing weird and wonderful stationery and office furniture items to match existing things you may have. She is often found networking with other business owners, promoting the business and supporting others.
Claire is a mum of two - Leoni and Junior.
She loves pink things, has over 100 pairs of shoes, including a box under her desk, spending time with her children and bottomless brunches with friends.
What’s your favourite thing about being part of the Gosh family?
Our wonderful staff and customers. And the great selection of brightly coloured stationery!
Mark Page – Director of Sales
Mark has been part of the Gosh family since March 2019 and has been in the industry for 30 years, not quite a dinosaur yet.
He loves to listen to clients’ needs and requirements and then go away to build a solution to deliver over their expectations.
Mark has 3 sons ranging in age from 16-34 and a house of reptiles, Barney the python, Pebbles the dragon, and of course a good woman behind them all.
Mark enjoys travelling, socialising, food and fitness, the fitness is not as easy as it was these days.
What’s your favourite thing about being part of the Gosh family?
We always satisfy the customer.
Alan Bluman – Sales Associate
Alan has been an associate of Gosh since 2021. He is married to Sue, has 4 children and 11 grandchildren with ages ranging from 23 months to 14 years.
He loves all music except rap and used to sing in a professional choir, once appearing on TV. He is a passionate lifelong Arsenal fan and attends all their home matches.
He dislikes anything mechanical, can’t fix them if they break down, keeping local handymen in business.
What’s your favourite thing about being part of the Gosh family?
Working with a friendly, ethical family business.

Hannah Wright – Administrator
Hannah joined Gosh Projects in November 2022 as part of her Business Administration apprenticeship and has quickly become a valued member of our office team. With a background in customer service and experience gained during her time at university, Hannah brings a friendly, can-do attitude to everything she does. Her attention to detail and willingness to learn have made her an integral part of our day-to-day operations..
Hannah is quickly familiarising herself with the products and loves seeing some of the weird and wonderful products ordered from customers. Her favourite product is the heart-shaped Post-it notes
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking and training her Maltipoo, Milo, watching the latest films and baking lots of different treats.
